We are now looking for a 

 

Field Service Engineer

 

to join our team working for a better future. 

 

The preferred location for the position is in Surgères, France. 

 

What you will be doing 

 

As Field Service Engineer your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

  • To supervise a team of technicians and perform the preventive maintenance and repair operations on Wärtsilä emergency diesel engines installed in nuclear power plants.
  • To act under the responsibility of a superintendent, to embody the superintendent authority during his absence.
  • To participate to the troubleshooting.
  • To perform the engines running test.
  • To fill in the quality documentation (« dossier de réalisation de travaux »).
  • To participate to the promotion of Wärtsilä brand.

 

The missions are carried out while respecting the applicable rules as regards Quality, Safety and Environment, in accordance with the commitment of Wärtsilä.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

 

  • Bachelor + 2 or other high school diploma
  • Intermediate level of written and spoken English
  • Deep knowledge of diesel engine mechanics (knowledge of Wärtsilä engines would be an advantage).
  • 5 year-experience in the industrial Marine or Energy area (knowledge of nuclear sector would be an advantage).
  • Precision and rigour, attention to Safety and Quality topics.
  • Endurance, Flexibility, Autonomy
  • Team spirit and good interpersonal skills
  • Strong focus on process improvement
  • Attentivity to the customer satisfaction
  • Mobility (multi-week delegations)

 

In this role some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 80% (France + Abroad).

sur notre site de Surgères, France. 

 

Le poste est dédié au périmètre Special Applications (SA) de Wärtsilä. Cette entité est dédiée aux services complets des équipements pouvant aller jusqu’au reconditionnement des moteurs de secours pour certaines centrales nucléaires dans le monde et celui du moteur du char Leclerc pour l’armée Française.
 
Missions Clés:

 

  • En tant que superviseur chargé de travaux, encadrer et piloter une équipe de techniciens pour la réalisation des opérations de maintenance préventives et curatives de moteurs diesels de secours Wärtsilä en service en centrales nucléaires.
  • Agir sous l’autorité du chef de chantier, le représenter sur le chantier et assurer la permanence de son autorité en son absence.
  • Participer aux opérations de maintenance et aux diagnostics de panne.
  • En tant que chargé d’essai, conduire les tests et essais de remise en service des moteurs.
  • Renseigner les documents qualité (dossiers de réalisation de travaux).
  • Les missions sont effectuées en respectant les règles applicables en matière de Qualité, Sécurité et Environnement, conformément à l’engagement de Wärtsilä.

 

Des déplacements sont à prévoir à hauteur de : 80% (France + International).
 
Pour réussir dans ce rôle, nous attendons de vous:

 

  • Bac + 2 ou Bac pro
  • Solides connaissances dans le domaine de la mécanique moteur diesel (la connaissance des moteurs Wärtsilä serait un plus).
  • 5 ans d’expérience dans le secteur industriel Energie ou Marine (une connaissance de l’environnement nucléaire serait un plus).
  • Niveau intermédiaire d'anglais écrit et parlé
  • Rigueur, Précision, Attentif aux aspects Qualité et Sécurité
  • Endurance, Adaptabilité, Autonomie
  • Esprit d’équipe et bonnes capacités relationnelles
  • Force de proposition en matière d’amélioration des modes de fonctionnement existants
  • Souci de la satisfaction client
  • Mobile (missions en déplacement de plusieurs semaines)
