Technical Information Manager / Responsable Bureau d’Etudes H/F
We are now looking for a Technical Information Manager / Responsable Bureau d’Etudes H/F to join our Technical Management team. The preferred location for the position is in Surgeres, France.
What will you be doing
In this position, your work will include the management of a team of 3 to 7 people: industrial draftsmen (updating drawings, designing parts) and master data technicians (updating SAP data, TEX, bills of material). On a typical day, you will plan, coordinate, supervise and guarante the development of the skills of the dedicated team.
As Technical Information Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Guarantee the quality and durability of the plans for the UD EDGs and UDX engines (realization and follow-up of plans);
- Ensure the link between the operational technical documentation and the referencing in SAP;
- Ensure the updating of the technical database (storage in SAP);
- Manage the "Tech Request": ensure technical responses for the Technical Information part;
- Ensure the realization of technical studies in order to answer the requests of the other Special Applications departments and to realize if necessary product improvements;
- Support to Technical Services experts: technical support, documentation research on technical subjects, elaboration of technical files on components, history...);
- Ensure daily reporting (KPI);
- Ensure the back up, support of other QPTM teams if necessary.
The missions are carried out while respecting the applicable rules as regards Quality, Safety and Environment, in accordance with the commitment of Wärtsilä.
In this role, some travel is required for technical audits and validation of suppliers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 6 times per year.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Degree in design of industrial products
- Minimum 5 years experience in an industrial design office
- Minimum 2 years experience in team management
- Diesel engine technical expertise, nuclear, military/energy business expertise
- Knowledge of mechanics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics and structural design
- English

Nous recrutons un Responsable Bureau d’Etudes H/F pour rejoindre notre équipe de Direction Technique.
L'emplacement préféré pour le poste est à Surgères, France.
Qu'est-ce que tu vas faire
Dans ce poste, votre travail comprendra le management d’une équipe de 3 à 7 personnes de dessinateurs industriels (mise à jour de plans, conception de pièces) et techniciens master data (mise à jour de données SAP, TEX, nomenclatures). Dans un jour typique, vous planifiez, cordonnez, supervisionnez l’équipe dédiée en garantant le développement des compétences de l’équipe dédiée.
En tant que Responsable Bureau d’Etudes, votre travail se concentrera sur les missions suivantes :
- Garantir la qualité et la pérennité des plans pour les moteurs UD EDGs et UDX (réalisation et suivi plans) ;
- Être le garant du lien entre la documentation technique opérationnelle et le référencement dans SAP ;
- Assurer la mise à jour de la base de données techniques (stockage dans SAP) ;
- Piloter la gestion des « Tech Request » : assurer les réponses techniques pour la partie Technical Information ;
- Assurer la réalisation d’études techniques afin de répondre aux demandes des autres services Special Applications et réaliser si nécessaire des améliorations produits ;
- Support aux experts techniques Technical Services : support technique, recherche de documentation sur sujet technique; élaboration de dossiers techniques sur composants, historique…) ;
- Assurer un reporting quotidien (KPI) ;
- Assurer le back up, support des autres équipes QPTM en cas de nécessité.
Les missions sont effectuées en respectant les règles applicables en matière de Qualité, Sécurité et Environnement, conformément à l’engagement de Wärtsilä.
Des déplacements sont à prévoir à hauteur de : 6 fois par an (audits techniques, validation techniques de fournisseurs).
Pour réussir dans ce rôle, nous attendons de vous :
- Bac +2 dans la conception de produits industriels
- Expérience de 5 ans minimum au sein d’un bureau d’étude industriel
- Expertise technique moteur Diesel, expertise du business nucléaire, militaire/ energie
- Connaissance en mécanique, résistance des matériaux, mécanique des fluides et calcul de structure
- Anglais
- Pack office
