Wärtsilä France is looking for a

 

Workshop Manager H/F

 

to join our dedicated Special Applications (SA) team. Our activity focuses on the refurbishment of backup engines for certain nuclear power plants and the engine of the Leclerc tank for the French army.The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Surgeres.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Context:
    • You will supervise a team of about 80 people.
    • You will have 8 direct managers under your responsibility (Methods, Maintenance, Sub-assembly, Test benches, Piping, Logistics, Military and nuclear engine assembly line).
  • Your missions:
    • Manage human and material resources optimally.
    • Plan the workshop activity, delegate tasks and responsibilities. Manage the workload and adjust resources accordingly.
    • Supervise project execution with the Contract department.
    • Provide your expertise on production flow management.
    • Implement KPIs and activity monitoring indicators.
    • Be the interface with internal clients (mainly the Contracts team) for optimal schedule tracking.
    • Establish and monitor performance indicators and workshop budgets.
    • Provide your support and expertise to the General Manager Operations.
    • Ensure compliance with quality requirements in military and nuclear fields.
    • Develop a strong quality, safety, and environmental culture.
    • Ensure effective communication within teams and across departments.
    • Develop the skills of team members.
    • Support and develop productivity and continuous improvement plans.

What you bring:

 

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree, Bac +5.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in an industrial environment (ideally mechanical).
    • Knowledge of purchasing, financial, and operational processes.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced level in English (C1-C2).
    • Advanced level in Office Suite.
    • Advanced level in SAP.
    • Charisma and leadership.
    • Change management and ability to optimize existing processes.
    • Good communicator and decision-maker.
    • Customer orientation.
    • Rigor, organization, and autonomy.

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%.

Ce que vous ferez :

 

  • Contexte :

    • Superviser avec le service Contrat l'exécution des projets.
    • Apporter votre expertise sur la gestion des flux de production
    • Mise en place de KPI et d’indicateurs de suivi de l’activité
    • Être l'interface avec les clients internes (principalement l'équipe Contrats) pour un suivi optimal des plannings.
    • Établir et suivre les indicateurs de performance et les budgets de l'atelier.
    • Apporter votre soutien et expertise au General Manager Operations.
    • Veiller au respect des exigences qualité dans les domaines militaires et nucléaires.
    • Développer une forte culture qualité, sécurité et environnement.
    • Assurer une communication efficace au sein des équipes et en transverse.
    • Développer les compétences des collaborateurs.
    • Supporter et développer des plans de productivité et de développement continu.

Ce que vous apportez :

 

  • Formation :
    • Master 2, Bac +5.
  • Expérience :
    • Minimum 10 ans d'expérience managériale en milieu industriel (idéalement mécanique) .
    • Connaissance des processus achat, financiers et opérationnels.
  • Compétences :
    • Niveau avancé en anglais (C1-C2).
    • Niveau avancé en Pack Office.
    • Niveau avancé en SAP.
    • Charisme et leadership.
    • Gestion du changement et capacité à optimiser l'existant.
    • Bon communicateur et prise de décision.
    • Orientation client.
    • Rigueur, organisation et autonomie.
