Project Engineer

This is a position in the Wartsila ANCS ( Automation Navigation Control System) CD China team, he/she will work to deliver the ship's MCS (Monitoring & Control System) and PCS (Propulsion Control System) in Asia.

 

The project engineer needs to prepare the part/drawing/software/mimic according to TA/customer comments, under the Wartsila NACOS Platinum platform(Developed by Lyngso Marine), and with cooperation with other teams from Danmark/Norway/Germany/Italy) .

 

Your main responsibilities are

  • MCS/PCS project engineering
  • Stakeholder management, external and internal stakeholders.
  • Quality assurance of deliveries, documentation, and software.
  • Participating in internal project status and milestone reviews.
  • Advise on any changes to design and potential cost impacts.
  • Calculate the actual deviation with TA/Contract and report to the team leader.
  • Assist other team members as required and Resolve Quality/Design issues promptly.

 

You will shine in this role when you have:

  • BSc in a relevant subject, e.g. Electric, or Electronic engineering with a focus on Automation systems.
  • 3 to 5 years of Working experience in marine industry or industrial automation.
  • Good communication skills in Mandarin (native) and English, writing and verbal.
  • Skilled in design tools such as AutoCAD, Eplan, Solidworks etc.
  • Knowledge of PLC language Such as Structured Text, ladder diagram etc.
  • Knowledge of Serial Interface communication, i.e. Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, CAN-OPEN, NMEA0183, Profinet etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure& perform the task independently as assigned and ability to travel.
