Your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

  • Coordination of complex projects in shipbuilding industry following given schedules for document/equipment deliveries and services.
  • Stake holder management, external and internal stake holders.
  • Coordination between suppliers, production and customer, e.g.:
    • of customer, third party & own supplied equipment for console builder.
    • follow-up of missing parts/deliveries to/from production, internal/external suppliers.
    • organizing of L/C to proceed delivery in time etc.
  • Assuring On time, on budget delivery.
  • Chairing internal project status and mile stone reviews.
  • Coordination between sales and design/engineering /order processing and customer (shipyards, ship owners, design institutes etc).
  • Organization of documentation according to Wärtsilä customer delivery order processes
  • Responsibility to negotiate technical and commercial issues with customers, for projects in execution.
  • Creation and assurance of positive and good long term relations with customers.

 To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Bsc or Msc in a relevant subject, e.g. electric or electronic engineering
  • Project delivery experience, minimum as leading project team member, preferably as project lead/project manager.
  • Experience from marine industry or industrial automation
  • Good communication skills in Mandarin (native) and English (Business negotiation level), writing and verbally.
  • Cyber security knowledge (e.g. understands IEC 62443-3 and or IEC 61162-450 & 460 requirements)
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, waterfall as well as agile, PMI or Prince2 certified.
