We are seeking a Purchaser, Project Procurement to join our newly forming JV in a rapidly growing renewable energy market. This is an exciting time for our business as we approach our new Joint Venture recently announced to the market and this role will support our Procurement team as we carve out the business.

We are looking for a communicative and collaborative person for this position. This position is based in China.

The purchaser will be responsible for Energy Storage project procurement needs; working in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders to meet project needs and requirements.

 

Your work will focus on these responsibilities: 
 

  • Managing procurement activities for assigned projects, including placing purchase orders and handling order confirmations.
  • Monitoring deliveries and ensuring materials and services are delivered on time.
  • Maintaining regular communication with suppliers and building effective working relationships.
  • Coordinating closely with project teams to support project timelines and requirements.
  • Following up on invoices and ensuring accurate and timely processing. 
  • Identifying and addressing potential supply chain risks to support on-time project delivery.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes and ways of working. 

 

 

 The following will enable you to succeed in this role:

 

  • Ideally you would have an appreciation of the Energy Storage industry. We are looking for a proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
  • Commercial or technical education (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) 
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Preferably SAP; other ERP systems are also an advantage.) 
  • Ability and willingness to work in fast paced, dynamic and changing environment. 
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Systematic way of working, interest and capability to manage details. 
  • Fluent in written and spoken English language.
  • Experience in dynamic and complex project-based business environment such as BESS would be advantageous.
