Supplier Quality Engineer

We are now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our experienced and dynamic team in Energy Supply and Optimization with background in inverter technology to support this goal.
 

In order to be successful in this role, we expect you to be skilled with people and able to flexibly communicate and adapt yourself in changing situations. You have a background in frequency converter technology, and you understand how and where they are used and what is the basis of the technology. You understand the possibilities and threats of inverter manufacturing and power semiconductors as well as the field failures they are subjected to. You have an eye for details and your approach is data driven meaning that you are no stranger to collecting data and transferring it into a statistic which you can use for forming an objective evaluation of any situation. You communicate fluently in English and flexibly adopt yourself in changing situations even when the teams don't share the same perspective on things

 

Your main responsibilities are

  • Verify implementation and compliance to Quality requirements and Instructions
  • Establish product specific Inspection and Testing Plan with suppliers for all main components of the system
  • Supplier on-site Quality monitoring according to Inspection and Testing Plan
  • Review of inspection and testing results and review reporting to relevant SD&Q Manager
  • Leading and monitoring RCA and CAPA processes preferably with data and communicating the results as well as supporting internal and external stakholders
  • Supporting product team/development on quality and inspection for Prototype and serial products
  • Conduct inspection and testing to ensure that the quality of the PCS main components is adequate
  • Attend FAT at the supplier when needed / upon request
  • Auditing of the suppliers' production process

You will shine in this role when you have:

  • Fluent skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarine, Cantonese considered as a plus) for exchanging information accurately
  • Excellent understanding of the manufacturing requirements of frequency converter technology
  • Excellent understanding of a Root Cause Analysis process
  • Excellent understanding of the failure mechanisms of frequency converters
  • Statistical skills to collect data from different systems, classify, categorize, and refine it to report the data in an understandable and concise form
  • Good social skills to communicate things to suppliers that sometimes aren't pleasant and the ability to work in a diplomatic and discrete way in situations where the interests of two parties are not the same
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and final testing for frequency converters
  • Knowledge from step-up transformers (LV/MV) (manufacturing, testing and failure mechanisms) as well as MV switchgears
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
