Field Service Engineer, ES&O

Your main responsibilities are

  • Perform field service activities in accordance with the agreement needs and the established work plan.
  • Actively support the Project Team during the commissioning of battery energy storage systems and related equipment.
  • Address technical and operational issues at customer installations promptly, report these issues, and propose product improvements to meet quality and cost targets.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with customers through effective communication and service.
  • Prepare and present analytical reports service work reports that include conclusions and recommendations for planned and unplanned maintenance resolving technical issues faced by customers.
  • Serve as a local technical advisor in customer meetings as required.
  • Generate service work reports and maintain accurate documentation related to site visits or customer interactions.
  • Commit to being on service jobs for at least 50% of the year to ensure hands-on resolution of issues and customer engagement.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have the following:

Desired Education

  • Masters’ or Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Must have valid A Class local electrical license.
  • Must be based in Adelaide or willing to relocate,
  • Yet, relocation is not applicable for internal employees.

 

Desired Skills And Experience

  • 2-4 years’ experience with energy storage systems and/or renewable energy, power systems design and communication networks

 

In-dept knowledge of:

  • PV Systems
  • OPC systems
  • Variable frequency drives
  • Battery and inverter technology
  • Windows server and UNIX/LINUX
  • PLC systems
  • Industrial networks and protocols (Modbus TCP, Profibus, CAN-bus, CIP, ethernet/IP, ControlNET, etc.)
  • Advance programming of firewalls and routers
  • Protection relays
  • Familiar with NEMA and IP enclosure designs

 

Additional Skills:

  • Detail oriented with a project management mindset
  • Good collaboration skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commissioning experience
