As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of energy storage equipment from arriving vessels to customer sites throughout Australia.
Your main responsibility is to ensure that shipments are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule. The role includes both office work and field operations in ports and terminals, requiring active communication with various stakeholders such as:
- Customers
- Stevedoring companies
- Transport companies
- Warehouses
- Colleagues worldwide, especially in Finland
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Coordinate the transportation of goods within Australia from the vessels to the customer (site).
- Ensure that the equipment arriving has a scheduled onward connection to either the warehouse or the customer.
- Support with negotiations of local transportation and warehouse agreements
- Oversee the unloading of the vessels and inspect the incoming cargo.
- Supervision of the transportation and warehouse activities.
What We Expect from You?
- Experience in handling and transporting hazardous materials. Lithium batteries are considered an advantage
- Experience in both field and office logistics work
- Strong understanding of Australian road transport
- Basic IT skills and the ability to use logistics management systems
- Excellent independent working skills
- Experience in import formalities is considered an advantage
- Willingness to travel within Australia as required
