Wärtsilä Energy Storage & Optimization (ES&O) is the leading global energy storage optimizer. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and competent Project Controller to join our Energy Storage and Optimization organisation.

 

Location:

 

The preferred location is Sydney, Australia. The position is permanent

 

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

• Overseeing, forecasting and reporting the financial health of the project by analysing costs, net sales, revenue and risks on a monthly basis
• Monitoring customer invoicing and receivables
• Tracking and allocating all project expenditures and invoicing
• Following up the financial performance of the projects, keeping stakeholders informed and flagging any risks / issues
• Initiating change orders, supplier claims and insurance claims in order to safeguard the project profitability
• Perform risk management by anticipating risks, flagging potential risks early on and mitigating the risks
• Managing project activities in project planning, monitoring, controlling and reporting according to contract / requirements
together with external stakeholders and internal team members
• Developing and Managing Project (Country) specific approach for shipment value handling
• Securing Internal Business Process Framework utilization in the projects
• Participating in customer / stakeholder negotiations when needed and maintain good customer / stakeholder relationships

 

Requirements /Qualifications:

 

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. Degree, Finance, Project Management or Industrial Management
  • Good financial and accounting knowledge
  • Excellent SAP skills
  • Excellent skills in English
  • Good skills in Microsoft office programs
  • PMP certification seen beneficial
