Quality Engineer

Your main responsibilities are

  • Follow up and maintain the Wärtsilä ITP (inspection and test plan) for the project.
  • Maintain the SQAD (Site Quality Assurance Documentation) at site as part of the ITP plan.
  • Arrange the quality inspections and related inspection procedures for the site including methods of inspection and related method statements and inspection records.
  • Check and ensure the prevailing standards, statutory and contractual requirements for the specific jobsite are followed and fulfilled.
  • Maintain and organize the quality documentation and records at site and in DCM or other agreed documentation system in the project.
  • Report and maintain all non-conformities from the jobsite and process them as an internal report together with the site team members to NC systems (DCM).
  • Participate in handling of contractual punch list / open items lists for the project delivery in concern if required.
  • Communicate and support to subcontractors and vendors for non-conformities and deviating quality issues.
  • Communicate and support to internal stakeholders (supplies, engineering).

 

You will shine in this role when you have:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering (or similar)
  • Good communication skills in English, with people from different cultures and backgrounds
  • Engaging way of working with people
  • A background in Project Quality is seen as a big benefit
  • Comfortable with taking ownership of tasks to bring issues to a resolution
  • Familiar with using Microsoft Office apps
  • Good with reporting an analyzing skill
  • Teamworking skills that can extend beyond your own team
  • Continuous improvement-oriented approach
  • Willing to travel
