Sales Manager

We are looking for Sales Manager, Taiwan, Marine Power in Taiwan. This is a permanent opportunity and its location is primarily Taipei, Taiwan. Successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that we identify and pursue relevant opportunities in your area, enhancing sales of New Build and Life Cycle products in Marine Power and for closing the deals with the customer in Taiwan.

What will you be doing:
As Sales manager, Taiwan, Marine Power, your work will focus on following responsibilities:

  • main responsibility is the Order Intake OI for New Building (NB) and Live Cycle (LC, inclues Parts, FS, Project & Agreement Sales).
  • generate and Manage sales opportunities and leads from customers in Taiwan.
  • well able to go along, adapt and learn the quickly changing market environments (decarbonization, consultative selling, etc.)
  • active approach to meet rolling & forecasted targets.
  • increase market share and active approach in the market to develop new and existing relation(s) with business stakeholders (Yards, Owners, Design companies, Brokers etc.)
  • active in generating needed reports and forecast.
  • active, maintain and disciplined in the use of CRM and other Sales tools (Einstein, CEM etc.).
  • contribute to good overall customer satisfaction.
  • actively engage to other (global) Wartsila functions and Teams to capture opportunities.
  • manage leads & opportunities into orders and contracts according Wartsila policies and ensure a smooth internal transfer.
  • good and professional customer communications; existing relations with major ship owners is a plus.
  • business intelligence and knowledge for the area.
  • able to use and develop the digital channels (online communications) for internal and external communications.


To be successful in this role, we expect you to:

  • have a Bachelor and/or above degrees, major in mechanical and/or electrical; preferably with sales experience in marine or heavy machinery industry.
  • be an experienced Sales Manager in marine industry with a proven track record in delivering business results.
  • ability to work in an international business environment.
  • self-driven and self-motivating.
  • continuous learning ability.
  • Embrace, be open and willing to adapt to changes.
  • willing to travel intensively domestically to meet customers.
  • excellent customer interaction skills (negotiation, sales, listening, evaluating, etc.).
  • Wartsila product & system knowledge is a plus.
  • knowledge and familiar with the marine industry.
  • familiar with using of the general Microsoft software and tools.
  • skilled in organizing and participating in online meetings.
  • Bilingual in English & Chinese
