We are now looking for a

 

Dive Supervisor

 

to join our team. 

 

The position is permanent and full-time, connected to our office in Terneuzen, Netherlands. 

 

Candidates should reside within a daily commuting distance from our office and be European citizens or hold a permanent residency visa.

 

What will you be doing
 
In this position, you will have the chance to make your mark on the shipping industry. You will be responsible for leading and supervising a dive team directly, overseeing the maintenance and repair of vessels and offshore structures both locally and globally. This will involve a wide range of tasks, from standard upkeep to more complex repair projects, under the direction of our superintendents.

 

The ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for safety, leading people, and the shipping industry. To succeed in this role, you must possess good leadership skills, a proactive problem-solving mindset, a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to coach others with an open mindset to new ideas continuously.

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?
 

  • You will lead and manage dive teams to safely perform basic dive services. You may also supervise dives as part of large project teams under the direction of a Dive Superintendent, contributing to high-end dive service projects. 
  • Additionally, you may be asked to perform diving operations as part of a dive team. 
  • Your responsibilities will also include participating in coordinating and performing various administrative and logistical aspects of diving operations, guided by our interdisciplinary teams.

 

What do we expect from you?
 

  • Have a valid commercial dive supervisor and diving certificate, preferably under the Dutch Certification scheme.
  • Be medically qualified for commercial diving.
  • Have demonstratable experience with leading and managing dives in the shipping industry.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel. This is necessary for performing administrative tasks.
  • Have good administrative and reporting skills.
  • Be a leader that is able to connect people.
  • Have good team and communication skills. 
  • Be fluent in English, both verbal and written. Fluency in Dutch is a plus.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and be flexible when it comes to last-minute changes.
  • Be open to working very frequently overtime, on weekends, and on public holidays.
