Technical Sales


We are now looking for a Technical Sales to join our Sales team Netherlands Shaft Line Solutions team located in Terneuzen, the Netherlands.

 


What will you be doing


In this position, your work will include: 

  • Generating customer-specific solutions, specifications, and quotations according to the needs of Sales, for the Wartsila Underwater Services portfolio.
  • Bidding management
  • Evaluating inquiries and register/maintain opportunity information in CRM
  • Configuring solutions according to defined needs
  • Preparing cost calculations according to directives and agreed targets (the new tool in CRM is gonna help a lot but some sort of awareness is needed)
  • Evaluating the technical and environmental risks of the solution.
  • Ensuring that response time for sales inquiries/requests/orders are met.
  • Performing technical assistance to Sales and customers.

For us to be the best match, we expect you to have Technical or Sales skills and experience from working in the maritime industry is a plus. As an ideal candidate, you have gained technical and/or sales experience from previous roles. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have knowledge in CRM Sales Force tools and technical background, if possible, related to the shipping industry.

 

As Sales Support, your work will focus on:

  • Technical education or equivalent qualifications as a combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with responsibility for collating costs and invoices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and customer empathy. 
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrable team working skills and the ability to adjust and re-plan in dynamic situations. 
  • A working knowledge and commercial administration processes. 
  • Passion about the Underwater Services business and willing to drive it to the next level
  • Experience in Marine Industry
  • Ability to work in multicultural/international business environments.
  • Self-driven and motivated with a continuous learning ability
  • Openness & willingness to adapt to change 
  • Proficient negotiation skills
  • Familiar with using Microsoft WORD/ EXCEL/ PPT/ CRM 
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Living or willing to relocate within driving distance of our office in Terneuzen Netherlands.
  • Have a valid European work permit permitting you to work in the Netherlands.
