We are now looking for a (Senior) Operations Expert to join our Operations Management Support, MEA team and help shape a better future. This is a permanent position, preferably based in Tokyo, Japan.
What will you be doing:
- The Senior Operations Expert plays a critical role in ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and contractual compliance of customer assets under service agreements. The role combines deep technical expertise with strong customer-facing, analytical, and coordination capabilities.
As (Senior) Operations Expert, your key focus areas include:
- Providing advanced technical and operational support to Agreement customers
- Leading root cause analysis and resolution of complex operational and engine-related issues in coordination with Technical Services
- Driving operational reliability, availability, and asset uptime improvements
- Ensuring contractual performance targets are consistently achieved
- Delivering data-driven operational recommendations to customers and Agreement Managers
- Identifying and escalating product and service improvement opportunities internally
- Supporting customer engagement through site visits, reviews, and technical discussions
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Highly experienced Operations professional with 8–10+ years of hands-on field experience in Dual Fuel engine operations and maintenance, with strong exposure to long-term service agreements and customer support environments. Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical issues, optimize asset performance, and ensure contractual KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Possesses strong mechanical and automation expertise, advanced analytical skills, and a structured, proactive approach to operational excellence. Adept at translating technical findings into actionable recommendations for customers and internal stakeholders. Experienced in cross-functional coordination, customer-facing technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
