We are looking for an Automation Engineer to join our team of experts in Trieste, Italy.
Your role and responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer, your work will include programming and configuring automated equipment (PLCs, etc.), creating and testing automation scripts and programs, analyzing existing processes to identify areas for automation, and supporting production projects.
The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as part of an energetic team with diverse expertise.
As an Automation Engineer you will focus on these responsibilities:
- Development, install and debug PLC code for new projects.
- Develop and implement PLC code upgrades and manage the rollout to equipment.
- Provide technical support to the wider team throughout the entire project cycle, including design, machine build, debugging and commissioning phases.
- Create and maintain all relevant documentation for new and upgraded equipment.
- Research, test and validate new technologies for use in future equipment solutions.
- Responsible for ensuring that project timelines and targets are achieved.
Requirements for the position
- Previous experience as an Automation Engineer is a plus.
- Basic programming skills, even at a hobbyist level.
- Knowledge of PLCs or a willingness to work with this system.
- Skills in industrial computing and advanced programming languages (C#, Python) would be a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team as necessary.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
