We are now looking for a
Business Development Manager Lifecycle, Energy Europe
to join our dynamic Agreement and Upgrade team for Energy Business in Europe, working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Trieste-Italy, but also any other main location in Europe is possible location.
What you will be doing
As Business Development Manager Lifecycle, you will have direct customer interaction with responsibility to develop Agreement sales opportunities in Europe.
You will be responsible for leading proposal presentations and negotiations with customers, to secure contracts.
You will work collaboratively and proactively with both Energy Services and Energy Power Plants (EPP) organizations, to ensure the growth of profitable service agreements.
As Business Development Manager Lifecycle, Energy Europe, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with the objective of securing new long term service agreements, as well as renew existing agreements. In order to obtain such, a close cooperation with the business units Energy Services and EPP, as well as Account Managers, Agreement Managers and Business Development Managers responsible for new installation sales in the region Europe, is required.
- Throughout the sales process you are responsible to mature opportunities and address customer requests for final and preliminary offerings, technical and performance information.
- Accountable for following the correct internal procedures and get the proper internal approvals, following the company directives and guidelines.
- Prepare contracts and lead contract negotiations, with support of the involved capture team.
- Tailor presentations for external and internal stakeholders, which could be virtual or on-site meetings.
- From time to time, participation in conferences and trade shows in the geographical territory.
- Ensure a comprehensive handover to the agreement management, of all commercial and technical aspects of the agreement at the time of contract signature.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Previous experience and an understanding of agreement sales processes by means of a systematic approach, including the ability to identify and understand the customer's buying & funding cycle.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- The ability to know when, who and how to explain the potential of the Agreements to customer (or other external) and internal stakeholders.
- A comprehensive understanding of the European energy market and associated business drivers.
- Ability to lead established sales and proposal processes in an organized and traceable way.
- A multi-year track record of major project &/or Agreement sales success.
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world, mainly Europe. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20-40%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
