Development Lead

We are now looking for a Development Lead in Marine Power division to join our Global Workshop Operations team. This opportunity is offered on a temporary basis (24 months), to support the development of our digitalization vision. 
The preferred location for the position is in Trieste, Italy, however we are open to receiving applications from other locations, and there will be occasional opportunities to travel (approx. 10% of the time)

What will you be doing?

 

As a Development Lead, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
•    Run small system/feature development proof of concept and review the industrialization of Proof of Concepts
•    Review the business requirements and translate it to technical specifications
•    Test and validate with the business the new features developed
•    Write documentation for end users
•    Further develop and adapt the workshop digitalization road map

 

The below will enable you to shine in this role:
•    MSC in Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or qualified by equivalent experience 
•    Working knowledge of web applications, such as Java Spring Boot, Angular and Python
•    Practical understanding of database programming (both Relational and Non-relational database)
•    Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering is a plus 
•    Excellent customer focus; driven to exceed expectations
•    Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, who engages and collaborates with others to deliver results
•    Demonstrable ability to work autonomously without being prompted
•    Aptitude for learning
•    Fluent in English both verbal and written
•    Fluency in Italian is seen as an advantage

 

Whilst we embrace operating in a virtual environment, there will be the opportunity to travel to meet with our colleagues around the world (approx. 10% of the time).
