Digital Application Specialist

We are now looking for a Digital Application Specialist in Marine Power division to join our Workshops Development team. This opportunity is offered on a permanent basis to support the development of our digitalization vision. The position will demand to travel.

 

The preferred location for the position is in Trieste (Italy). 

 

What will you be doing?

 

As a Digital Application Specialist, you drive the digitalization of workshop operations by:

 

  • Lead the deployment and the maintenance of the digital solutions.
  • Support the end users during the daily activities and troubleshooting.
  • Support the development by capturing business requirements and translate it to technical specifications.
  • Build dashboard and analytics for data driven decision.
  • Develop script support the deployment phase and for master data maintenance.
  • Develop end user training material and documentation of the application.
  • Test and validate with the business the new features developed.

 

The below will enable you to shine in this role:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering or qualified by equivalent experience. 
  • Basic knowledge of web applications development and database programming.
  • Excellent customer focus; driven to exceed expectations.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, who engages and collaborates with others to deliver results.
  • Demonstrable ability to work autonomously without being prompted.
  • Keen interest in Digitalization and IT.
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.

 

As an ideal candidate you might also have… 

 

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering is a plus.
  • Fluency in Italian is seen as an advantage.
  • Aptitude for learning.

 

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel up to approximately 40%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
