Wärtsilä Italia is an integral part of Wärtsilä Corporation. It employs over 900 people in 4 legal entities. Its main locations are Trieste and Genova.
Having been going through major changes recently, Wärtsilä Italia continues its transformation focusing on service business as well as on the development of innovative technologies, driving the decarbonization of marine and energy, to support this, we are seeking for a Head of HR Italy.
Main task will be to actively support the strategic development of the Wärtsilä Italy core businesses, while continuing running HR operations together with the local HR Team (4).
In this role you interact on daily basis with the business stakeholders and with the colleagues in the different HR teams; Talent Acquisition, the People Support Hub, Business HR, CoEs, and with your peers abroad in the South & West Europe team. You are a member of the Wärtsilä Italy management team and pivotal in the success of Wärtsilä in Italy.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: :

Minimum of 10 years experience in HR in a matrix-oriented environment.

Minimum 5 years leadership experience
-
Solid experience in driving transformation processes, engaging stakeholders.

Dedicated service mentality towards employees and internal stakeholders as well as hands-on attitude to cover both managerial as well as day to day tasks

Thorough experience in negotiating with Unions and Works Councils

Good knowledge of Italian employment laws and ability to apply legal concepts to real world situations.

Fluency in Italian, English
