Product Lifecycle Engineer

 

We are now looking for a 

 

Product Lifecycle Engineer, W46F, W46TS, W50

 

to join our team. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Trieste, Italy but also other locations are possible.

 

 

What you will be doing

 

As Product Lifecycle Engineer, W46F, W46TS, W50 in Power Supply - Product Management and Sales Support organization, you will play a crucial part in supporting our sales. You will work closely with the Technical and Commercial Manager for the product to achieve our set product development and profitability goals. Reporting to the Head of Product Management & Product Owner, W46F, W46TS, W50, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our organisation.

 

As Product Lifecycle Engineer for W46F, W46TS, W50, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Competitor evaluation and benchmarking
  • Product related technical information creation and maintenance for internal and external use
  • Support cost/saving target materialization
  • Support Sales and Sales engineering on technical matters
  • Participate developing engine products together with other colleagues
  • Maintain, coordinate change work, improve and implement new features in product manuals
  • Manage Non-Standard Requests on time and effectively
  • Participate in selected external meetings representing product management for own products
  • Proactively provide input and improvement suggestions on WoW and process development for Product Management Competitor evaluation and benchmarking

 

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Relevant academic background (BSc, MSc in engineering)
  • Marine or energy engine market business understanding
  • Understand customer technical needs & requirements
  • Give inputs for way of working and continuously seeking for potential processes improvements
  • Understanding product performances and mechanical features
  • Capable of creating product guide content
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proactive, positive and can-do attitude
  • Ability to work in cross-functional organisation
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

 

In this role, some travels are required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus we expect travelling approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
