We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to oversee and manage funded projects, ensuring alignment with funding requirements and organizational goals. This role involves coordinating all aspects of project execution, from planning to delivery, with a particular emphasis on maintaining compliance with funding terms, maximizing resource utilization, and delivering high-quality results. The ideal candidate will bring project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
The preferred location for this position is Trieste (Italy), but Genova (Italy) is also an option. In this position, full or part-time remote working is an option too in accordance with local policy.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Project Coordinator, your role will include but is not limited to the following:
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of funded projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for funders, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication.
- Oversee compliance with funding agreements, including reporting and documentation requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans and schedules, incorporating deliverables and milestones aligned with funding criteria.
- Track project progress and ensure adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs) defined by funding bodies.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare comprehensive financial and progress reports for funders and organizational leadership.
- Identify risks or potential issues and propose proactive solutions to mitigate them.
- Understand the management and allocation of EU funds, adopting a strategic approach for the acquisition of new funds.
- Support the development of grant applications and proposals to secure new funding opportunities.
Requirements for the position:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Naval engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in coordinating projects, ideally with a focus on funded initiatives.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
- Fluency in English and Italian, both written and verbal is essential.
- Availability to travel from time to time within Europe (approximately 10% of the time).
As an ideal candidate you might also have:
- Understanding of funding processes, compliance requirements, and grant management.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in project management tools and financial reporting systems.
- Strong financial background.
