Technical Illustrator Engineer

As a Technical Illustrator Engineer you are part of the Wärtsilä Technical Information team within the Parts Services group. Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Technical Product Life-Cycle information for the 4 Stroke.

 

In this position you will be working in a team which creates, maintains and publishes the technical information based on available life cycle data for the Wärtsilä solutions. You will work together with Technical Illustrators, Technical Writers and Data Engineers and will be to create and maintain spare part manual metadata, illustrations, lists, information modules. 

 

This is a permanent opportunity and will be located in Trieste, Italy.

 

 

Operational Delivery Responsibilities:

 

  • Create and deliver output according to operational targets by creating spare part  catalogue manual metadata of high quality.
  • Take responsibility, work independently and deliver output according to assigned tasks.
  • Ensure a high standard of technical documentation in proper Technical English.
  • Communicate with Expert Engineers all over the world to collect information regarding your technical documentation.

 

 

What do we expect from you?
 

  • Fluent in English language.
  • Experience as a Technical Illustrator.
  • A technical knowledge and interest in complex technical systems.
  • Knowledge of PDM and ERP systems, TeamCenter (NX) and SAP is an advantage.
  • A team player with a proactive approach and good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • You are diligent and work very meticulously.
