Technical Project Manager

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team in Product Validation in Product Management & Engineering 2 Stroke Engine Service organization.

 

The location for the position is Trieste, Italy. The position is permanent.

 

What will you be doing?

 

Product Validation is a laboratory for testing 2S and 4S engines and components.

 

The Technical Project Manager is accountable for executing Product Development Projects related to 2 Stroke Engine Testing. This includes project- planning, follow-up, financial reporting, on-time delivery and within the available budget.

 

Next to the Project Management skills strong technical product knowledge is required. The focus area shall be mainly 2-stroke engines however it could also be possible that involvement is required in other fields in general.

 

As Technical Project Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Serve Product Management with development needs. This includes early involvement in business cases, feasibility studies.
  • Manage and coordinate engine laboratory tests and preparation.
  • Material purchasing.
  • Good skills in communication are required. These communication requirements are imposed in English.
  • Due to the upcoming decarbonization demands a strong network must be maintained in order to set priorities and deliver results considering the available capacity and available budgets.

 

You will shine in this role when you have:

 

  • MSc or Diploma (Five or three years’ University degree) in Mechanical, Chemical, Naval or Electrical engineering
  • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and having a flexible attitude.
  • An awareness of project cost and budget management
  • Capability to work in a team
  • Good communication skill
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal is essential
  • Ability to interface with colleagues and internal and external clients
  • Working time flexibility
  • Problem solving skills
  • Willingness to make change happen and achieve results
  • Decisiveness and action orientation
  • Planning and target setting capabilities
  • Ability to develop self and others

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers and partners around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
