We are now looking for a Vibration Expert to join our Analysis Vibration & FEM Team.

The preferred location for the position is in both Trieste and Vaasa.

What will you be doing:

As Vibration Expert, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Give technical support for internal and external customers
  • Assist in solving technical matters by performing vibration related calculations
  • Trouble shooting in the field and participate in major failure analysis and component
  • Root cause analysis
  • Analyse and compare field measurements of components and systems
  • Support Project Management & Engineering
  • Build up and maintain knowledge library / data base
  • Assist Technical Service global experts in defining safe vibration levels
  • Share knowledge and way of working within Technical Service and R&D globally
  • Propose proactively product improvements and up-grading
  • Assist the claim managers in their contacts with suppliers
  • Create Calculation Reports, Measurement Reports, Technical Statements, content of Service Bulletins, etc.


Also, you will mainly perform:

  • Vibration study and analysis mainly focused on reciprocating and rotating machines.
  • Torsional Vibration Calculation
  • Calculation of Resilient Mountings
  • Vibration measurements


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education
  • Engineering Discipline knowledge
  • Technical analysis
  • Vibration knowledge
  • Analysis and reporting skills
  • Technical problem-solving skills
  • Good skills in communication, customer orientation and self-management
  • Proactive, systematic and organized way of working
  • Flexible attitude, openness to learn, adapting to and developing new technologies
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
  • Readiness to travel
  • Knowledge of Excel (must have)  and Matlab (nice to have)
