Accountant, Financial Statutory Accounting Services (FSAS) - HK & support to TW

Your main responsibilities are

• General ledger accounting & Group reporting

1. General ledger postings, eg accruals, corrections, clearing, salary & social cost postings
2. Group reporting / Final checking of HFM
3. Internal control performer for Record-to-report and Purchase-to-Pay process. Performs the control in accordance with the task description and frequency defined in Internal Controls Framework and related instructions.
4. Balance sheet monitoring
5. Participate in external audit and provide information for audit

• Payment support & Trading finance

1. Payment proposal checking on weekly base
2. Support WSSC payment team in clearing daily bank statement
3. Monthly FX exposure report, arranging hedges with Group Treasury when needed
4. Letter of Credit drafting, acceptance, amendments & follow-up
5. Drafting, issuing and presenting L/C documents to bank
6. Bank guarantee applications, accepting drafts in favour of Wärtsilä, BG claim handling
7. Keep good relationship with banks

•  Tax related tasks & TW E-invoice

1. Be responsible for tax filling in HK
2. Ensure proper tax procedures, financial information prepared consistently with high standard in accordance with statutory purpose
3. Support E-invoice issuing in Taiwan
4. Involve ad hoc projects to drive complex change

You will shine in this role when you have:

• Good understanding for IFRS and local GAAP.

• ERP experience, SAP and Hyperion is a plus.

• Good interpersonal and team working skills. Positive attitude and pro-active thinking, initiative taking, self-going, fast learner and flexible approach.

• Fluent in English language and good in Mandarin.

• Good understanding of handling import / export documents.

Professional qualification in Accounting:

• 3 years of working experience in financial accounting and taxation in an MNC.
• Qualified auditing experience is a plus.
• HKICPA /ACCA / HKIAAT student member or equivalent is a plus.
