Wärtsilä Performance Services, Marine Agreement Delivery is now looking for a Remote Diagnostics Expert, to join our team.
We are a team of more than 20 experts who follow the condition of Wärtsilä four-stroke engines. Understanding the correlation between various engine operational parameters is essential to be successful in this role. Your Marine customers will be located worldwide, English being the working language.
We utilize the digital tool – Expert Insight, which highlights deviations from the expected behaviour of the marine contract customers' engine data. This Expert Insight digital tool uses both artificial intelligence and rules set up by engine experts.
The possible locations for this position are Turku (primary) or Vaasa, Finland or Singapore. We offer a possibility of hybrid work according to our company policy.
Your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Acts as an asset performance expert on the covered equipment
- Diagnose performance and provide proactive technical support for engines and other covered equipment in collaboration with stakeholders to maximize uptime
- Conducts analyses and predictive assessments with detailed recommendations for resolving technical and performance issues
- Provide fluid analysis recommendations for customers based on fluid analysis reports
- Available for customer visits when product, system, or performance analysis is required
- Supports Contract Manager, Operations expert, Asset Diagnostic expert, Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Coordinator
To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:
- BSc or MSc degree in Engineering or equivalent skills
- Strong 4-stroke engine mechanical, automation and/or analytics skills
- You are comfortable working with numbers in the form of tables and graphs
- You can work in a structured way with routine work
- You are willing to work independently both as an expert and a team player
- You have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency in English
