Wärtsilä Energy Solutions is looking for skilled and enthusiastic Site Manager.

 

The Site Manager is managing and leading the works with the site team and with the support by the project team in our power generation or energy storage project jobsite.

Communication skills as well as solid track records for similar projects in international environment are required for a successful candidate.

Our projects are located globally, so travelling, language skills and cultural awareness as well as experience in working with multicultural teams is a perquisite.

 

As Site Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities : 

  • Ensure all construction and installation activities are planned and coordinated.
  • Manage site execution schedule and follow the progress of activities.
  • Ensure local laws and regulations are followed.
  • Establish and maintain good site reporting practises.
  • Highlight the economical construction and cost saving working procedures.
  • Participate in subcontracting and local purchases.
  • Safeguard the compliance with Quality and HSSE policies and minimize risks at site execution.   
  • Ensure the quality control at site.
  • Ensure that contractual requirements are fulfilled, and plant is handed over to the customer.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • M.Sc. of B.Sc. in Engineering
  • Working experience in Site Management in industrial projects
  • Good leadership, communication, team building, negotiation skills
  • Willingness to do travelling work and learn and adapt new technologies
  • Ability to adjust to a wide range of conditions and cultural environments 
  • Project Management knowledge is also preferred
  • Good command of English, both oral and written
  • Other languages are seen as an advantage
