<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Job description:  Lead the frontline Product Sales team in the Americas Area, which consists of its own business line sales resources and, where applicable, sales and/or sales support resources in the Americas Service Units assigned to the business line products. Responsible for achieving won deal, order intake and sales targets for the Americas in collaboration with the Service Units and Area Business Support. Promote available solutions within the Area and Service Units Sales organization and directly to customers. Identify and evaluate opportunities, and develop and win them in close collaboration with customers and the relevant internal stakeholders. Act as Capture Team Leader and ensure collaboration in capture teams and involvement of relevant stakeholders at right time. Ensure compliance with key steps in opportunity management and sales process, and promote active usage of CRM. Collaborate with the global business line Sales Support & Development team for growth focus areas. Maintain Area overview of key opportunities, follow up sales pipeline with Area stakeholders and provide regular pipeline status reports. Train and coach sales team and the sales champions in SUs on the available and new solutions for all product categories, including on the 2-stroke engine specific knowledge. Analyze Area and regional markets and customer needs and provide feedback to the global Sales Support & Development team. Develop new and customized solutions together with customers and the global business line functions. Develop good understanding of customers' business drivers and what solutions add true value to their business. Collaborate with Marine Business (“MB”), Energy Business (“EB”) and Winterthur Gas & Diesel (“WinGD” is the new IP-owning company for 2-stroke engines) Sales stakeholders, also promote their respective new products and identify business line opportunities in newbuild sales projects. Participate in new building sales meetings with MB, EB and/or WinGD Sales and support them to win newbuild projects with the support of our lifecycle solutions offering. Ensure collaboration with other business lines of Asset Management Services (“AMS”) or in MB/EB, to capture extended services opportunities. Willingness to provide 24/7 services and technical support to end customers. Telecommuting allowed on a limited basis. Requires up to 25% domestic and international travel to meet with clients.


<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Job requirements:  Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of sales, sales support experience, or a combination of sales, sales support and frontline technical customer support in Marine business services. Experience must include:

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Seven (7) years of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Experience in a role requiring knowledge of 2-stroke engines, including product support, technical support and 2-stroke retrofitting;


<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Five (5) years of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Experience in technical services, customer assistance, warranty management or in contract management for 2-stroke engines;


<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Three (3) years of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Leading and coaching people in the sale of after-sales services, maintenance services, parts, repair services, as well as technical upgrading solutions for 2-stroke main engines in merchant vessels or in power plants
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Providing solutions and upgrades to clients experiencing operational issues with products;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Driving several, complex sales development activities, such as developing long-term service agreements with clients, developing sales opportunities in new market for specialized services in power plants, industrial market segments, mining, or hydro power plants;


<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Two (2) years of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Experience with Sales Pipeline management in CRM;
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Promoting specialized services to clients;


<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Experience may be gained before, during or after the completion of a Bachelor’s degree program.


<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm.
