Tool Crib and Maintenance Technician

Lock-N-Stitch, Inc. (LNS) specializes in all aspects of the repair of cracked and damaged cast iron and other cast metals. LNS manufactures crack and thread repair products, provides training in crack repair techniques and maintains a full-service repair department that performs repairs all over the world and has the benefit of over thirty years of experience.

 

Position Description:

Lock-N-Stitch, Inc. (LNS) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Tool Crib and Maintenance Technician position located in Turlock, CA.  The Tool Crib and Maintenance Technician will be a part of the Repair Services Team and will report to the Technical Operations Manager.

 

The Tool Crib and Maintenance Technician will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Issue tools, supplies and equipment to repair technicians.
  • Maintain record of tools, supplies and equipment issued/returned.
  • Prepares periodic inventory and maintains perpetual inventory of tools, supplies and equipment.
  • Inspect and test tools, supplies, and equipment for defects and/or wear.
  • Prepare and pack tooling, supplies and equipment for onsite jobs (mobilize).
  • Receive and unpack tools, supplies and equipment from onsite jobs along with clean, test, and service all items as required before returning to inventory (demobilize).
  • Mark and identify tools and equipment.

 

Secondary Functions:

  • Maintain records.
  • General housekeeping of tool crib area.
  • Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance on tools, facility and machinery.
  • Monitors equipment and/or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools and their use in repair services
  • Ability to perform repairs/maintenance on portable machine tools and auxiliary components
  • Forklift Certified

Minimum Experience and Educational Requirements

  • One year minimum repairing electrical and pneumatic power tools
  • One year minimum performing preventative maintenance and repairs on larger equipment
  • High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred or commensurate experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
