Area Sales Support Manager, Product Sales & Sales Support, MEA

Wartsila is hiring for a Sales Support Manager to cover part of the Middle East & Asia Area (MEA), Energy Service Business.

 

The right candidate will have strong commercial and technical product knowledge within our portfolio and will thrive in a multi-cultural, cross-continental and fast paced working environment with multiple stakeholders.You will lead and generate larger technical package proposals in coordination with Area Product Sales Managers, local sales teams within Service Units and product teams, strategic purchasing, category managers and/or technical managers within responsible Product and Business lines.

 

The location for the position will be within MEA

 

  • Leading and managing relationships with counterparts in product line responsible groups and local area sales support teams, serving as value-added liaison to ensure that we are maintaining customer focus and proactive drive.
  • Assist in the preparation of all required documentation and material required by Product Sales.
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of business solutions.
  • Provide in-depth application knowledge.
  • Manage and lead the local sales support team that are covering several countries. As their superior you will lead, coach and support the local sales support team, so the business targets can be met in the applicable countries. You will manage and steer the workload between the team members in the local sales support team, to safeguard that the local sales support teams workload is on a correct level. Close cooperation with Your peer, is imperative to be successful in the position.
  • Create high quality proposals supported by sound offer calculations and clearly defined scopes and specifications as requested by Product Sales.
  • Provide strong commercial cases in order to secure sales, such as ROI calculations as requested by Product Sales.
  • Provide expertise in SC (Sales Configurator) and other tools, e.g. service schedules, and/or maintenance plans.
  • Enable secure knowledge transfer of sales scope to execution and delivery functions as requested by Product Sales.
  • Provide product related support to Service Unit Sales Support teams that prepare their own offers independently of Business units.
  • Provide solution support and part offers for Auxiliary Systems as requested by Business Unit Sales.
  • Provide solution support for Auxiliary Systems to Service Unit Sales Support that prepare their own offer independently from Business Units.
  • Map installation specific sales potential based on, but not limited to, available product, services, upgrades and customer overhaul schedules.
  • Ensure consistent and proper proposal tracking, documentation and quality for all proposals produced by team.
