Technical Sales Support Team Leader

Wärtsilä’s Water and Waste business line (WAW) is at the core of Wärtsilä’s smart marine strategy and fuelling the company purpose by providing state-of-art technology to marine customers, who need to have their vessels operated beyond compliance. WAW is supplying the customer advanced waste management solutions to secure maximized energy efficiency and minimised discharge impact. Additionally, WAW is the market leader in fresh water generation systems for cruise vessels.


The Technical Sales Support Team Leader will lead, develop and drive the Product Sales Support team within the Water and Waste business line. The successful person along with the General Manager Sales, will create and deliver a sales support strategy which ensures an efficient quotation response time, and promotes high customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be based out of our office in Poole, United Kingdom.



What are your main tasks and responsibilities?


  • Set clear targets (KPI’s)
  • Drive to achieve sales support targets using own team and Wärtsilä’s Network.
  • Prioritise and actively manage the opportunity funnel for all products.
  • Develop & lead a team that is able to deal with the all the sales enquiries from request for quote to order capture.
  • Communicate technical assistance to internal and external customers.
  • Active participation in relevant sales meetings with customers when required.
  • Support and develop product related marketing opportunities

  • Understanding and use of SAP and CRM is desired
