Manufacturing Engineer

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be embedded into a passionate engineering team to support the creation and deliver of effective manufacturing process methods and improvements and will provide support acorss our sites in Havant and Slough, UK.

 

This is a full time permanent opportunity and the successful candidate will be based out of our office in Havant United Kingdom.

 

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

 

  • Analyse and develop manufacturing methods, tools, systems and facilities.
  • Prepare recommendations about changes that need to be made to manufacturing resources, procedures, facilities, systems and technology.
  • Implement the new manufacturing technologies and methods.
  • Liaise with other Engineering departments to implement best practice regarding Design for Manufacture (DFM) and inventory recognition.
  • Act as a technical expert in manufacturing development daily activities and projects.
  • Create and maintain required manufacturing documentations.
  • Support a Continuous Improvement Plan within Manufacturing by developing and implementing new leaner processes/methods, cost reduction initiatives and improving current operations
  • Conduct root cause analysis of operational/technical issues and associated problem resolution.

 

What do we expect from you?

 

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Detailed knowledge of quality standards.
  • Proven background in understanding manufacturing processes.
  • Continuous improvement knowledge.
  • Clear communicator
  • Understanding of the Marine industry is desired but not essential.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • Must be eligible to undertake base line security clearance as a key requirement for this role.
