Quality Control Inspector

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be part of a dynamic team in providing inspection support across the product line within the Seals & Bearings business. The successful candidate will be based out of our office in Havant, Hampshire United Kingdom.

 

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

 

  • Execute inspection of components, assemblies and documentation for incoming parts and in process manufacturing according to engineering drawing specification and purchase order requirements.
  • Review engineering drawings to conduct effective testing across the product lines.
  • Identify and document any non-conformance in accordance with process and seek to make any process improvements.
  • Participate in lesson learnt and improvement projects to support product design and modifications to meet required specifications.
  • Support in each stage of the inspection lifecycle to ensure effective inspection support is provided, including goods inwards inspection, work in progress and finished part inspection.
  • Deliver seal assembly reporting i.e. dimensional checks per requirements .
  • Utilise appropriate equipment such as Verniers, micrometres, shadow graph, Pi tapes etc. in order to conduct successful testing and reporting.  

 

What do we expect from you?

 

  • A background within a testing function within a manufacturing environment.
  • Level 2 City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering is desireble.
  • Pro-active individual with a team player attitude.
  • Practical problem solver with the ability to display a systematic approach to evaluation and resolution.
  • Excellent communicator, written and verbal.
  • IT literate with working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • Must be eligible for base line security clearance.
