As a Project Manager you will be responsible for delivering ballast water management system projects and will be integral to ensure on time delivery. The successful candidate will be based out of our office in Poole, Dorset in the United Kingdom but will be required to travel on a global scale.



What are your main tasks and responsibilities?


  • Working within the delivery team to delivery of water and waste equipment solutions, particularly ensuring that ballast water management systems project are delivered on time, to cost and to the specified quality standard.
  • Execute contracts according to the agreed upon terms.
  • Lead and manage the project lifecycle ensuring that all internal and external parties are effectively communicated with and expectations set.
  • Ensure that effective customer relationships are maintained and developed to ensure that we become a business partner of choice and provide scope for further sales opportunities.
  • Enabling the projects team by working closely with the business enabling services for the procurement of resource.
  • Continuously seek to improve the way of working to enable effective project delivery.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and document risk and issued and develop response plans accordingly.
  • Monitor project costs, schedule and quality and initiate any appropriate corrective action(s) to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Manage the delivery of project activities according to contract requirements
  • Liaise with other teams and other senior staff in co-ordination of works.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and Company process and procedures.
  • Be a representative of the business and business line in project meetings with customers and external stakeholders.


What do we expect from you?


  • Strong background within technical Project Management.
  • Hold a current Project Management qualification such as a PMP, Prince 2 Practitioner.
  • Ability to travel globally to meet customer demand and project timescales.
  • Knowledge of the marine industry is highly desirable.
  • Computer literate with competent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Effective communicator with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written
