Sales Manager, Water and Waste


We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our Water and Waste Business Unit located in Poole UK, Geesthacht Germany (Fresh Water Generation) and Brough, UK (Valves). In this role you will be required to travel 60-70% of your time as well as having regular attendance in our office in Poole, UK. The location and country of candidates is open.

  • advanced wastewater treatment systems
  • ballast water management systems
  • freshwater generation: reverse osmosis plants and evaporators
  • vacuum toilets and vacuum collecting systems
  • food waste collecting systems
  • bio sludge and wet waste treatment systems
  • dry waste handling systems


What are your main tasks and responsibilities?


  • Develop, report and assume the responsibility for sales and sold margin budget for set region and/or assigned products and/or assigned agents and distributors
  • Maintain and further develop existing assigned customer relationships
  • Identify and develop relationships with potential customers
  • Develop and maintain Customer Satisfaction
  • Propose customer or product specific sales target based on market outlook, identified opportunities and strategy
  • Create and maintain opportunities in CRM
  • Maintain accurate customer records among assigned customer accounts
  • Cooperate and coordinate sales activities for global or cross country operating customers with responsible colleagues
  • Ensure that customer inquiries, orders and complaints are responded to in a prompt and satisfactory manner


What do we expect from you?


  • Proven experience in a direct sales role is essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of marine sector and industry
  • Demonstrable experience of sales negotiation
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Innovative thinking coupled with creative problem solving skills
  • Proficient in the MS office package and CRM systems
  • Professional telephone manner
  • An ability to work independently while thriving in a team-based environment
