(Chief) Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a moderately experienced electrical engineer to strengthen the Plant & Cell electrical team at STH. The team is responsible for the electrical systems of the engine test facilities.

 

In this role, you will work with electrical engineering tasks such as design, procurement and documentation, but also hands-on with highly versatile electrical systems in an interesting industrial environment. You will work as supervisor of electrical works performed by professionals. You will be working independently and in cooperation with several stakeholders, both internal and external. You are expected to have communication and coordination skills. The location for the position is Sustainable Technology Hub, Vaasa.

 

 

What you will be doing

 

  • Ensuring electrical systems enable all testing
  • Responding to electrical issues and maintenance needs during working hours
  • Support in leading electrical contractors and suppliers work
  • Design and development of the testing facilities
  • Managing technical documentation
  • Purchasing services, equipment and spare parts required for operation and development of the facility
  • Support that maintenance is performed on electrical systems in accordance with regulations and planned maintenance in electrical discipline.
  • Safeguard that works under own responsibility area are executed according to requirements, specifications, instructions, HSE, and the facility’s policies
  • Write risk assessments and work permits for electrical work

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in own discipline
  • Self-propelling active personality
  • Good command in Finnish and English. Swedish is seen as an advantage
