We are now looking for an enthusiastic (Senior) Documentation Engineer to join our skilled Auxiliaries & Decarbonisation Products team in Content Management Spare Part Information. We encourage applicants at various levels of seniority, as the role can be offered as either Documentation Engineer or Senior Documentation Engineer.
This permanent position will be based in Vaasa, Finland. In line with our hybrid work model, you will have the flexibility to work partially remotely.
What will you be doing?
As a (Senior) Documentation Engineer in the Auxiliaries & Decarbonisation Products team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Wärtsilä’s end user documentation and spare parts data are accurate, accessible, and up to date. You will work with spare part documentation for auxiliaries and decarbonisation products within Wärtsilä’s scope, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality information that enables smooth lifecycle support for Wärtsilä's extensive product portfolio.
Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
· Creating and delivering content for end customer's Spare Part Catalogues along with spare part data for the Code Resolution database.
· Creating and maintaining spare part metadata, illustrations, code resolution data, and information modules, ensuring high quality.
· Communicating and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful documentation delivery.
· Contributing to the development of team tools and processes.
· Supporting and training junior members.
· Developing and maintaining own competencies in line with responsibilities and accountabilities.
The following will enable you to succeed in this role:
· BSc in Engineering or other relevant technical education.
· Experience with technical documentation and spare parts information.
· Understanding of spare part structures and code resolution data.
· A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
· Understanding of product bills of materials (BOM) and technical drawings.
· Team-player mindset, strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
· Solution-oriented mindset and excellent problem-solving abilities.
· Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
· Proficiency in CAD software, Teamcenter, or Illustrator is advantageous.
· Proficiency with MS Office tools.
