(Senior) Product Engineer

Catalyst Systems is a product line in Power Supply business line. We are developing, managing and delivering world class emission control solutions for Wärtsilä engines. 


We are looking for a (Senior) Product Engineer for our Products organisation. The position is to be filled in Finland (Vaasa, Turku, Helsinki).


- Work closely with Product Manager on product management related tasks
- Proactively work on suggesting improvements to our work processes to optimize our operations. 
- Act as an internal interface between catalyst product management and catalyst project delivery management and attend internal catalyst sales handover to delivery and design kick off meetings
- Participate in product improvement related tasks in cooperation with PIP (Product Improvement Process) task manager
- Give standard sales support and participate in standardizing sales support
- Senior Product Engineer: Give standard and non standard (NSR) sales support and participate in developing WoW in sales support
- Senior Product Engineer: participate in overall product configuration tool development


- BSc or MSc in engineering
- Experience from similar type of work 
- A can-do positive approach and self-going attitude
- An eye for details and a systematic approach 
- Good writing and communication skills
- Good command of English, both oral and written. Swedish and Finnish seen as a benefit
- Good team working ability and skills
- Overall cost awareness
- SAP and Salesforce skills are a benefit
- Knowhow on selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and emission abatement systems and/or engines is also seen as a benefit
