(Senior) Solution Manager, Supply Chain Management

We are looking for a (Senior) Solution Manager to manage, support and further develop a supply chain management application called Logwis, utilising Java and React technology. As a Solution Manager in this position, you are directly contributing to safeguarding and optimising the continuity of the operation within the Energy business, driving profitable growth. Logwis is a Wärtsilä-owned and developed strategic application supporting supply chain material flows in the Energy business. In this role, you will be part of the Global ERP CoE team working closely with business and other members of our organisation to enhance the value of the IT delivery and development of your own solution domain. 

 

Position information:

 

The preferred location for this permanent position is one of our Wärtsilä locations in Finland (Helsinki, Vaasa, Turku) with hybrid remote work possibilities.


As Solution Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible of solutions in own responsibility area, mainly application-supporting business processes within supply chain management
  • Participating in and acting as a lead/scrum master in selected development activities.
  • Co-operating and coordinating with other IM instances, the Service Management, Solution Architecture and Technology and Infrastructure, as well as supporting partners to ensure strong teamwork and flow
  • Actively planning the technical landscape together with service management, stakeholders and enterprise architecture 
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders
  • Providing high-end support and guidance to stakeholders
  • Give input and create solution proposals for non-standard requests and enhancement requests
  • Proactively give input to continuous service improvement activities in their own domain 
  • Manage documentation and communication related to own area

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Education: M.Sc. or equivalent in Information Technology or Engineering
  • Relevant experience in a similar position
  • Development skills and experience in Java and Java scripts are needed. 
  • Experience in React and Play frameworks as well as databases (PostgreSQL and MS SQL) are seen as an advantage.  
  • Experience in GIT (version control) is needed.
  • A basic understanding of network configurations, firewalls, integrations, etc., is seen as an advantage. 
  • Experience with cloud solutions, Azure, Amazon AWS, etc. is seen as an advantage. 
  • Understanding of integrations and APIs is needed.
  • Experience working with Atlassian stack products (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo) is seen as an advantage. 
  • Agile project work understanding (Scrum)
  • SAP ECC / S/4HANA experience seen as a benefit 
  • Understanding of ITIL Service Management standards
  • Documentation skills, data models, flows 
  • Fluent written and spoken English
