We help our partners to accelerate their decarbonisation journeys through our market-leading technologies and power system modelling expertise. These cover decarbonisation services, future-fuel enabled balancing power plants, hybrid solutions, energy storage and optimisation technology, including the GEMS Digital Energy Platform.

Did you know Wärtsilä has delivered 79 GW of power plant capacity and more than 130 energy storage installations in 180 countries around the world?

In this fast changing world of energy, we are constantly on the lookout for future-oriented talent to join our team and to work towards enabling sustainable societies through innovation in technology and services - together. Want to join the ride?

We are always on the lookout for a talent with a growth mindset – are you the one?

Engine Power Plant (EPP) Technology enables product development and research while supporting customer care across sales, delivery, and the full lifecycle of Energy solutions. The Agile Office is an integral part of EPP Technology, working across products and value streams to ensure reliable execution today and continuous innovation for tomorrow.

We are looking for an Agile Coach (Senior) with a main responsibility in leading the Agile Delivery Model, coaching leaders and teams to embed product thinking into ways of working. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also Helsinki and Turku negotiable. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.

This is a temporary contract position for 12 months.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Agile Coach your work will include leading Energy Technology ‑level planning and delivery cadences, owning and evolving the Agile Delivery Model, coaching leaders and teams in product thinking and outcome‑driven delivery, enabling alignment and flow across teams by removing blockers and dependencies, strengthening the use of Jira and Miro to support transparency and execution, and facilitating communication, learning, and continuous improvement during the Product Operating Model transformation.

You’ll be part of a nimble, energetic, and easy-going Agile Office. We are a high‑impact, hands‑on team that gets things done – combining clear direction, transparency, and continuous improvement with a genuinely caring, supportive, and positive team spirit. We work hard, enjoy what we do, and look out for each other.

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Run and develop the Energy Technology‑level planning and execution cycle, aligning priorities, capacity, and commitments across value streams to ensure progress against Technology and product objectives and key results (OKRs).

  • Support and evolve the Agile Delivery Model to support portfolio‑level governance, predictable execution, and outcome‑driven delivery across teams and products.

  • Enable value stream alignment and transparency by strengthening the use of Jira and Miro for portfolio planning, dependency management, and execution visibility.

  • Support data‑driven portfolio decisions by leveraging planning, flow, and delivery metrics to improve OKR progress, prioritisation, and delivery outcomes.

  • Coach leaders and teams in product thinking, outcome‑oriented delivery, and OKR‑based planning suited to a mature product and value‑stream‑oriented organisation.

  • Act as a core member of the Agile Office, ensuring Technology‑level ways of working are aligned with enterprise governance, strategy execution, and operating model principles.

  • Build strong networks and collaborate across Technology, Product, value streams, and internal stakeholders to reduce dependencies, improve flow, and drive continuous improvement at portfolio scale.

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:

  • Relevant education: BSc or MSc in technology, business, design, or another field that supports systems thinking.

  • Language skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Finnish and/or Swedish is considered an advantage.

  • Senior agile experience: Background as an Agile Coach, Product Owner, Scrum Master, or similar role in a multi‑team product setup.

  • Planning & delivery leadership: Experience leading organisation‑ or portfolio‑level planning and execution.

  • Strong facilitation & coaching: Ability to coach leaders and teams and confidently facilitate complex, cross‑team discussions.

  • Agile product mindset: Positive and resilient attitude, focused on customer value, outcomes over outputs, OKRs, and learning through experimentation.

  • Hands‑on tools & ways of working: Practical experience with Jira and Miro, and interest in AI and data‑driven work.

  • Transformation experience: Experience leading change and transformation in hybrid software‑hardware environments, with design thinking or service design as a bonus.
