We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Agile Team Coach, to join our Agile Office – team in the Energy Power Plants Technology organization, to foster collaboration and facilitate the agile way of working within development teams. You are a key player in transforming the ways of working on a team level. You will be part of a nimble Agile Office within Engine Power Plants Technology. Preferred locations for this position are Vaasa or Helsinki but also other Wärtsilä locations within the European time zone are negotiable.

 

In this role, you are in daily interaction and collaboration with Product Owners and R&D experts, on a common purposeful journey ensuring our technology solutions meet current business needs and future strategic development goals. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Facilitate various agile events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives on a team level
  • Foster collaboration, communication and constructive dialogue within the team and with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Support the product owner in the planning process including product backlog refinement and capacity planning
  • Coach and mentor the team on agile values, principles and practices
  • Identify and remove impediments or obstacles that hinder the team's progress
  • Collaborate with other agile team coaches and drive the agile transformation together with the team
  • Proactively network in the Wärtsilä agile community and benchmark best practices externally
  • Drive Wärtsilä Purpose and demonstrate Wärtsilä values

 

Qualifications:

 

  • B. Sc or M. Sc in a relevant field
  • Experience in the Agile Team Coach or Scrum Master role
  • Strong understanding of Lean-Agile principles, practices and tools
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills in English, both face-to-face and remotely
  • Curiosity and courage to step up and drive the change in a hybrid Technology environment
  • Positive mindset, and ability to foster team culture, empathy and patience
  • Service Design / Design Thinking understanding & ability to facilitate complex workshops
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Basic understanding of Energy business and Engine Power Plants
