We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our Energy Business Global Sales Development team.
As an application engineer, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders like sales, sales support, technology and product management for modelling Engine Power Plant products and solutions to meet stakeholder’s needs. You’ll create and maintain product data and configuration models in Tacton CPQ platform, help us to introduce new products into market and enable sales to configure complex products efficiently.
You’ll be part of our Energy Sales Development team with expertise in process, application, and data development. Our team plays a vital role in supporting Energy organisation’s needs and acts as the team to develop sales processes and related applications such as CRM, Sales Configurator and other sales tools as well as data solutions to support both analytics and AI needs.
The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also other locations in Finland can be considered.
Role and responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining configuration models and product data based on input from responsible persons in other departments
- Updating and enabling new sales documents in Document generator
- Verifying modelling outcome and technical specification descriptions together with technical experts
- Ensuring configuration models align with product lifecycle changes and releases
- Communicate the changes to internal stakeholders
- Maintain documentation of model logic, versioning and change history
- Supporting Sales Proposal teams in sales tools related matters
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in information technology, engineering or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience
- Experience in product data modelling with e.g. Tacton TCstudio or Tacton CPQ is seen as an advantage
- Understanding of programming languages i.e. Python or JavaScript
- Process thinking and structured way of working
- Capable of working with various stakeholders to meet their expectations
- Knowledge and experience of managing product information
- Customer oriented team player in a multicultural environment
- Work independently towards set targets
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English, other language skills seen as an advantage
