We are looking for an Assistant Manager / Manager, Trade Finance with the main responsibility in:

• Providing support to Wärtsilä Marine Sales and Project Management in items related to contractual payment terms and trade finance instruments
• Ensuring that the contractual payment and financial obligations are fulfilled by the customers
• Ensuring accurate cash flow estimates for Marine project payment milestones
• Applying and controlling the trade finance instruments in customer delivery contracts
• Mitigating Wärtsilä´s risks under trade finance-related financial transactions

Your role and responsibilities  
 
As an Assistant Manager / Manager, Trade Finance your work will include tasks listed above within trade finance. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of Marine Financial Business Services, Trade Finance - a team with diverse expertise.

The position is permanent and the location for this position is Vaasa, Finland. We offer the possibility of hybrid remote work.
 
Requirements for the position:

• Commercial education (B. Sc. or M. Sc.)
• Over 3 years working experience in foreign trade, preferably trade finance 
• Good understanding of trade finance instruments, project business and payment terms used in international trade 
• General knowledge of cash management, credit management and financial accounting in international trade is seen as an advantage 
• Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office 

 
To be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have: 
 

• Good knowledge of Wärtsilä´s business 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a positive attitude
• Good command of English both in writing and speaking. Other languages are considered as an advantage
• Systematic and organized way of working
