We are looking for an Automation Laboratory Expert with main responsibility in engine automation test rig development and maintenance. The location for this position is Vaasa, Finland. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work.
Your role and responsibilities
As an Automation Laboratory Expert your work will include development and maintenance of testing rigs for UNIC engine control system. You’ll be working in a highly skilled R&D organisation, as a part of a team with diverse expertise in software full-stack development, from embedded systems to cloud infrastructure.
This role involves hands-on work with hardware and electronics as well as related networks and system administration of the rigs. Part of the work is also to ensure that rigs are operating as a part of our DevOps Continuous Integration pipeline with automated tests executed in cloud environment.
Main responsibilities
- Development and Maintenance of testing rigs for UNIC engine control system
- Improvement of Continuous Integration and test automation involving test rigs
- Support the validation of control functionalities in simulated environment and production engines
- Requirements management and executing proof of concepts for new test rigs
- Maintenance and troubleshooting issues in production systems
Requirements for the position
- Engineering degree in Automation, Computer Science, Process engineering or similar
- Hands-on experience in working with hardware / electronics
- Knowledge in DevOps, especially continuous integration and test automation.
- Fluent verbal and written English, our everyday work language is mainly English
- Electronic design competence is a plus
- Experience with the following seen as an advantage: testing frameworks, CI/CD toolset, Git, Linux
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have good teamworking and communication skills, structured way of working and cleanliness in laboratory operations as well as ability to guide other teams working in the laboratory environment.
