The position is preferably located in one of the WGLS main locations in Europe (Finland: Vaasa/Helsinki, Italy: Trieste, Netherlands: Kampen/Drunen, or Switzerland: Frauenfeld).


Main tasks and responsibilities:
 

In this position you will focus on providing reporting services and analytics support for Wärtsilä Global Logistics Services (WGLS) organization. WGLS is responsible for end-to-end supply chain of Wärtsilä spare parts, and its operations cover activities related to purchasing, quality, delivery and sales management etc.
 
Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing WGLS reporting, and analytics processes according to best industry practices. Typical outcomes of your work can be for example improvements to our KPI's, new operational reports or analytical studies related to on-going development initiatives. During the process you will work with different topics related to analytics, like data collection, preparation and visualization.
 
Skills and characteristics that enable you to succeed in this role:
 
For this position we are looking for an expert with analytical, precise and curios mindset. In this role we expect you to be ready to scratch beyond the surface and willing to experiment new technical solutions. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements, will help you to exceed the stakeholder expectations.
 
When working with stakeholders you should have structure and consultative approach. By communicating clearly and openly about development ideas and analytical findings, you will be able to help our organization to continuously improve our processes and performance. 
 
Following practical skills will help you to succeed:
 
•    Previous experience on developing reports with Microsoft Power BI and managing reporting workspaces is considered mandatory
•    Programming skills: 

  •  Solid skills in SQL and DAX 
  • Python, R or other programming skills are considered advantage

•    Good understanding about modern database solutions and data warehousing
•    Previous experience on ETL processes
•    Prior experience about supply chain operations
•    SAP experience enables you to connect the dots between the different steps in the process
•    Ability to communicate fluently in English is mandatory
 
An ideal candidate will have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. from a relevant field of study (commercial, technical, statistics etc.) or similar practical experience.
