Development Engineer

We are now looking for a Development Engineer to join our team within Customer delivery. Our team is working on engineering activities in delivery, sales, and development projects also aligning to the digitalization strategy within the company. The position is permanent.

 

Location:

The preferred location for the position is in Vaasa, Finland.  

 

What will you be doing?

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Act as a developer of AI applications, (E.g. tools and RPAs)
  • Understand the requirements from end users in different disciplines
  • Active role in maintenance of AI applications
  • Support in coordinating tasks to external companies and follow up that tasks are handled within the given schedule.
  • Support owners of tools and RPAs by developing and maintaining AI applications used in customer delivery engineering processes
  • Check applications made by near stakeholders, both internally at Wärtsilä and of external vendors
  • Participate in coordinating tasks to external companies and follow up that tasks are handled within the planned schedule and cost.
  • Support the digitalization strategy by evaluating and implementing enhancement requests to further develop the digitalization strategy

 

You will shine in this role, when you also have:

  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent English skills, as that is our working language 
  • Technical education (B.Sc or M.Sc)
