We are looking for a Development Manager with a main responsibility in leading agreement risk management in Agreement Management globally and in securing readiness to deliver new and existing agreement types. 
Agreements and increasing agreement coverage are in the core of Energy Services strategy. Our strategic priority is to create value together with our customers by climbing the service value ladder. We focus on the complete lifecycle of our customers to ensure the efficiency and performance of their power plants. 

 

The preferred location for this position (14 months) is in Vaasa, Finland but also other Wärtsilä locations in Europe time zone can be considered.

 
Your role and responsibilities 

 

As a Development Manager your work will include developing and implementing agreement management risk management process, monitoring and supporting risk management activities in Agreement Management globally. You will also be developing agreement delivery capabilities to support moving up in the Service Value Ladder and reaching Energy strategic priorities. You’ll be working as a part of Agreement Management team with diverse expertise, in addition, you will work in close collaboration with Energy Regions, Offering Development, Agreement Sales and Decarbonisation Services. 

 

  • Develop and implement risk management, process, policies and procedures in Agreement Management
  • Support Agreement Managers in analysing and evaluating impact of identified risks and support to develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Monitor and report on risk management activities and provide regular updates to management
  • Continuously develop delivery capabilities for existing and new agreement types to secure successful delivery (Decarbonisation Services, Balancers, Parts Predict etc.)
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for global Agreement Management use
  • Create instructions and provide advice for running profile transition (baseload to balancers)
  • Develop and implement Lessons Learned process in Agreement Management globally
  • Collect development requirements from business stakeholders, evaluate their feasibility, and prioritise their implementation accordingly
  • Proactively support Energy Business Regions with delivery of Lifecycle solutions and development of Agreement Management practices
  • Participate in projects striving for continuous improvement and support assigned Energy strategic priorities

 

Requirements for the position 

  • Energy business understanding and experience of working in Energy Agreement delivery (e.g. as Agreement Manager)
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent skills in planning, executing and leading change
  • Experience and drive for developing and innovating
