As part of the Industrial Doctorate Program, we are promoting a Doctoral Researcher in Mechanical Engineering (Combustion and Advanced Engine Simulation) position at the University of Oulu. The position will be part of the Materials and Mechanical Engineering Research Unit (MME) at the Faculty of Technology and will contribute to a cutting‑edge research project focusing on hydrogen combustion and advanced engine simulation technologies.

The role and responsibilities
As a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu, your work will include conducting high‑level scientific research, covering 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, the design of advanced combustion systems, and the investigation of innovative solutions to mitigate engine thermal stress and suppress knock. The role involves a multidisciplinary project alongside leading partners from academia and industry.
