Document Controller

In Energy Services Project Management, we are looking for a Document Controller

You will be responsible for given projects for the project document management throughout the project life cycle to complete a lifecycle upgrade to the customer’s satisfaction, as well as supporting the development work for project documentation processes.
In this role You will have the opportunity to develop, maintain and ensure full documentation management while supporting the process owner for our lifecycle upgrade projects. You will work closely with the Energy Business Project Documentation department,

as well as with other internal and external stakeholders, mainly regarding design and documentation. 
You will be performing the project work in compliance with Company Project Management Methodology and Business Directives, in accordance with agile operational values in Energy Services Project Management.


This position is permanent and preferred location is in Vaasa, Finland.

What will you be doing:


  • Supporting process owner for Energy Services project document management
  • Defining and planning contractual documentation deliverables in assigned projects in terms of time and scope, and ensuring the completion of those 
  • Preparing distribution matrix for project documentation deliverables
  • Ensuring the means for successful delivery of documentation in accordance to the contractual requirements 
  • Ensuring proper handling of the project documents in document management system with project team
  • Providing assistance in project sales phase with documentation related requirements
  • Defining risks and making project specific summary of findings
  • Fostering and supporting Document Control best practices
  • Communicating with the customer as per need 
  • Informs and reports deviations to the Project Manager
  • To participate in developing and improving the way of working within his/her organisational area
  • To participate in developing and maintaining solutions supporting the business process within his/her organisational area
  • Provide lessons learned initiatives for developing issues in own responsibility area


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:


  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in relevant field of engineering / Certified knowledge of Document Control
  • Project Management and engineering experience preferably in energy business and power plant projects
  • Adequate technical understanding of engine power plants and technology (4-stroke engines and aux system), solutions and products
  • Fluent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Willingness to take responsibility over own work and role
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Co-operative team player, willing to learn but also taking up own ideas
